WHO WE ARE
- YAM Tengku Puteri Raja Tengku Puteri Iman Afzan Al-Sultan Abdullah began advocating for mental health three years ago with the support of Puteri Nor Ariane Yasmin
- Following YAM Tengku Puteri’s appointment as International Patron of World Mental Health Day 2020 in October 2020 and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on mental health, the two women co-founded the Green Ribbon Group in January 2021
- Eight months in, we are a now a small team of four and work closely with a group of advisors in the mental health community. We do not wish to replicate existing initiatives; rather, we aim to empower key players and encourage new stakeholders to take up the challenge of mental health advocacy
WHAT WE DO
Although we are not professionals and do not offer mental health services, we see ourselves as aggregators with three main objectives:

CURRENT COLLABORATIONS
We believe in pushing for a community approach to mental health. Everyone can play a role in raising awareness on well-being and self-care, normalising conversations on mental health and encouraging help-seeking behaviour. We are collaborating with a range of stakeholders:

MONETARY & NON-MONETARY SUPPORT
- Thus far we have been self-funded by YAM Tengku Puteri, and raised RM 65,000 from our donating platform on our website and RM 15,000 from our collaboration with LUMI; ChaCha Kombucha will donate RM 1 for every ‘I CARE BUCHA’ bottle sold
- We have also received non-monetary support in the form of billboards in five locations across Kuala Lumpur that are estimated to be worth RM 500,000, as well as on screens throughout KLCC at approximately RM 615,000
- We are now looking for funding to sustain ourselves and our initiatives with the MMHA. It is our hope that you see value in the work that we do, in the relationships that we have nurtured, and continue to support us throughout our journey to effect real and lasting positive change within the mental health landscape in Malaysia
